FAQs

How much will it cost?

Pleasanton $35 per person/ Stockton $35 per person.

If you have more than 6 people in Stockton book an additional range. If you have more than 12 people in Pleasanton, book an additional range.

Don't worry, we'll do our best to put your group together.

Are you a bar where we can just come and have drinks?

Yes! Get your axe in here and have drink and some food and chill in our lodge-like bar lounge. Stockton has a full bar with so awesome signature cocktails!

Is it safe?

We really can’t say it enough but to ease your mind – YES, axe throwing is safe. We get that it might be an intimidating sport or game to some people, but you have nothing to worry about as long as you’re working with our Axe Coaches. You have a better chance of getting hurt at a bowling alley or even a driving range than at an axe throwing bar.

What should I wear?

You absolutely MUST wear closed-toe shoes. Other than that, we encourage folks to dress comfortably. Also, we love flannel.

Alcohol service?

Yes! Drinks must be consumed responsibly. All employees have TiPs alcohol certification or similar training. Inebriated patrons will not be allowed to throw axes under any circumstances.

Food?

We have a variety of food options available. You can check the menu here at Pleasanton or Stockton.

We also have a number of axe-cellent local caters we work with. You can request that information here.

Can I book an event outside of your normal hours?

Absolutely! We can accommodate larger groups outside of normal hours. Just email us at [email protected]

What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, there are no refunds or exchanges for participants who show up late. Your axe throwing time will be reduced if you are late. All bookings are final and there are no refunds. Rescheduling must be made at least 2 days in advance of your booking time.

Do Axe Coaches accept tips?

Tipping is never required* but always appreciated! Our Axe Coach will do their best to make your experience fun and exciting. It is nice to show them some love! If you don't have cash, our Axe Coaches take Venmo (an awesome cash app).

*Gratuity is applied to parties of more than 6 guests

Can I change or cancel my booking online?

Yes! Up until 24 hours before your reservation, just go to your confirmation email and click the orange View/Change Booking button. You will be able to change the date and time (if available) or cancel.

Will there be training?

Our axe coaches will always demonstrate proper safety and axe throwing techniques during your first few throws. Coaches are present throughout the experience for questions and to help you master your bullseye.

Can children participate?

Axe-throwing participants shall be at least 10 years old and up for Stockton, and 13 years of age or 10 and up if they are part of an "organized youth group". Waivers signed by a responsible parent or guardian shall be required for all participants under the age of 18. But minors (under 18 years old) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If we doubt the capabilities of a minor to safely throw an axe, our coaches will not allow the minor to participate.

All ages are welcome to attend.

Can I bring my own axe?

Guests are allowed to bring their own axes if they are WATL approved. Our coaches will inspect all axes, and we must approve them prior to throwing.

Can I bring in outside food?

You may only bring in store-bought cupcakes! We also, have catering options available for larger groups, just fill out a contact form, or email if you have any questions.

Can I rent the whole place?

Absolutely! We have a few details on our Plan an Event page, along with an Event form that you can fill out in just a couple minutes.

Walk-ins - How do they work?

When we do have walk-in space, the range times only start at fixed times, so you probably won't be able to walk in and start throwing - you'll have to wait until the next available start time. Kind of like walking into the movies. :)

For current start times, click here and select the date you want to walk in.

If it shows spaces are available, your best bet is to just reserve the spots!

Do you accept cash payments?

No, we do not. Only our Axe Coaches accept cash tips. Our bar in Stockton and Brentwood does accept cash.

Are pets allowed/ Service Animals Allowed?

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California law, service dogs are welcome at all Limitless Axes & Ales locations. Ask our staff for guidelines or if you have any questions on how we can make your visit more enjoyable.

We do love all our animal friends however pets are strictly forbidden.
